Itinerary

Day 1

We depart from Portsmouth on the 11:45am ferry to Bilbao.  All cabins are outside cabins, where available, with no sharing if you are a single supplement customer.

Day 2

Arrive in Bilbao and head towards our hotel in Salamanca, after enjoying your free breakfast on the ferry.  (255 miles)

Day 3

We head south to our hotel on the outskirts of Seville, where you can join us for some great local Tapas.  Although we cover 300 miles today, we try and keep to some great biking roads, only hitting the motorway close to the end of the days riding.  (300 miles)

Day 4

We enter Morocco and as we have completed all the paperwork prior to departure, we hopefully glide through the border checks.  We then travel only 40 miles to our hotel where we spend out first night in Morocco.  (150 miles)

Day 5

Our first full day riding in Morocco as we travel through the Rif Mountains towards Fes, with a visit to the Chefchaouen ‘the blue city’ en-route.  (180 miles)

Day 6

A day off the bikes in Fes.  We supply a local guide to take you around the medina where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Fes, or you can relax by the pool.

Day 7

Just imagine saying to your friends “I’ve ridden to the Sahara desert.” This is today’s ride where we enjoy several stops to meet the locals, but remember this is a motorcycle tour and we are here for the roads.  Our spa hotel is waiting for us in Erfoud, where we are booked in on a half board basis.  (250 miles)

Day 8

A day to remember as we ride some incredible roads to Ouarzazate.  A few more miles in the desert before riding into the Todgha Gorge for photos and then onto Dades Gorge for lunch.  (245 miles)

Day 9

We travel on our first Tizi Pass as we head to Marrakech, but not until we stop at the UNESCO World Heritage site at Ait Benhaddou.  After a short photo stop it’s on to the Tizi n’ Tichka pass in the High Atlas mountains.  (135 miles)

Day 10

A day off the bikes in Marrakech.  You are free to explore the Medina, which is a short walk from our Spa hotel or enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Day 11

A day of great views and riding as we head back into the High Atlas mountains and travel the Tizi n’ Test pass towards our night’s stay in Agadir.  (190 miles)

Day 12

A late start today as we have a short ride along the Atlantic coast to Essaouira.  As we head slightly inland on the route we see the infamous goats in trees.  (105 miles)

Day 13

We head to the hustle and bustle of Casablanca, where we have an optional four course evening meal at Rick’s Café.  Another highlight of the day is our lunch stop, choose your own meat and watch it cooked in front of you.  (210 miles)

Day 14

Still heading north, this is our last full day of biking in Morocco as we head to the city of Tangier.  (215 miles)

Day 15

We leave Africa and head back into Europe.  Our hotel in Spain is set in the Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema’ and is on a half board basis.  (100 miles)

Day 16

A full days riding to Toledo as we head north through Spain.  We have found a great little tapas bar, so the choice is to wind down at the bar or walk into the city.  (320 miles)

Day 17

After yesterday’s long ride we head to Valladolid using a mixture of single carriageway roads and dual carriageways.  (160 miles)

Day 18

The last day in Spain.  We have a late start as we have an evening sailing to Portsmouth from Santander.  Our riding experience does not stop as we travel on some great biker roads on the edge of the Picos.  (175 miles)
